A small change can make a big difference
Therapy explained

It can seem overwhelming and lonely when seeking help. Wellbeing and Change Therapy aims to create a welcoming, non-judgemental environment in which you feel comfortable enough to share. Unlike friends and family, a counsellor offers an objective, independent relationship where the sole interest is your wellbeing.

ABOUT

Anna Maplesden BA (Hons); Dip. CP; MBACP (Accred) I am a qualified integrative therapist who holds a BA (Hons) in Counselling (1st) and an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy (Distinction).

I am an accredited and registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) which demonstrates a professionally assessed and recognised level of training and practice.

I started my career in counselling in 2008 and have worked in a number of organisations with a diverse range of adult clients which includes a well-respected University;

a national charity running parenting workshops and with a hospice supporting family members who have suffered a bereavement.

Currently I work within the emergency services as a counsellor supporting staff with many issues that include stress; trauma; anxiety; depression; bereavement; low self esteem; relationships and abuse. I also write and facilitate general mental health awareness courses and wellbeing sessions tailored to groups.

In my private practice, I offer a welcoming and tranquil environment where you feel able to explore the difficulties that you face and decide if I would be the right counsellor to support you.
